IPCA Training Programme
IPCA as the apex body of Professional Pest Management organizations in India, commenced its initiative to enhance the service technician standards of its members. This was intended to bring about a change in the functioning of IPCA member organizations on the ground level and also help in providing better service delivery for end users. IPCA recognized the fact that in India, apart from fumigation, there was no training institute and little or no syllabus of repute, devoted to the practical needs of modern, Urban Integrated Pest Management (UIPM). IPCA intends to bridge this gap and has commenced Structured Training Courses (STC) for the benefit of its members.
In order to implement the above, it was decided to form a permanent Training Committee from within the members of IPCA, headed by a Chairman. The committee, apart from its Chairman, has 4 members to represent all 4 zones of the country. Its functions are :
a) To identify and nominate Training Faculty for various disciplines
b) Create a Panel of Trainers with dedicated responsibility, per zone
The STC shall have two levels of courses :
1. Level I : Basic Pest Management (BPM) Course
2. Level II : Advanced Pest Management (APM) Course
Features of Training Policy :
- A Panel of Master Trainers has been identified, both from within and outside the industry
- A Panel of Trainers has been nominated from within the member organisations
- A “Train the Trainers Course” for BPM and APM was conducted in Delhi on 09-10 May 2010
- Training dates have been put up on the website and also sent to individual members separately
- The courses shall run simultaneously in all 4 zones
- Participants will have to pay a fee to attend the course
- Course Fees (uniform throughout the 4 zones) : were decided by the IPCA Managing committee
- Nominated Trainers prepared the course content for the subjects allotted to them. This course material was scrutinized by the Training Committee and ratified at an MC meeting. The copyright and IPR on all training material so generated will remain the property of IPCA
- The Competency Certificate from IPCA is authorized by the President, Hon. Secretary and the respective Zonal Course Coordinators
- Aim is to get recognition by GoI for IPCA as a training institute of repute

3. The Training Committee members also act as Zonal Coordinators for their region and are responsible for organizing training programmes in their respective regions
4. Standard documentation is maintained as a record of all training programs conducted – which includes :
a. Application form of the participant with two passport size photographs
b. Training attendance sheet
c. Evaluation sheet
d. Copy of IPCA Competency Certificate issued to successful participants
e. Participant feedback form on training, and,
f. Report of the Zonal Coordinator to the Managing Committee of IPCA.
